Ecological Services for Transportation Planning and Design

E Sciences provides a high level of expertise in all aspects of transportation related ecological consulting services supporting a wide variety of FDOT, FTE, Expressway Authority and local government transportation projects. Projects include PD&E Studies, Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects, LAP, and Public Private Partnership projects. Our staff performs ecological constraints analysis and environmental permitting services for new alignment studies, existing roadway design improvements, interchange designs; resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation projects; recreational trail systems and multimodal transportation systems. E Sciences’ staff conducts expert wetland and wildlife evaluation to support State of Florida ERP requirements through the various Water Management Districts and the FDEP, and Federal Dredge and Fill Permitting requirements through the USACE. Wetland related services include wetland delineation, impact avoidance and minimization analysis, and mitigation assessment and identification of mitigation needs. E Sciences provides wildlife related services including surveys and habitat assessments, and relocation permitting as well as formal consultation with the USACE and FWS for wildlife listed under the Endangered Species Act. In addition, E Sciences performs coordination and permitting through the FWC to address other protected species including gopher tortoise, Southeastern American kestrel, Florida black bear and bald eagles.
